Engel fridge not working

I think the Engel uses the Sawa Fuji Swing Compressor. These are basically a large solenoid that cycles up and down in a cylinder, with a hollow core with valves each end.

You mention the compressor is getting hot, so clearly power there. Have you tried whacking quite hard it with a soft face mallet - might just free it off ?

I tried giving it a whack, no difference.

Anyhow, new one now ordered @ €630 + VAT .
