I am new and this is my second post. Hello everyone.

Simple question with a not so simple answer.

I have a Perkins 4.107 with an Enfield outdrive (unknown type).

It is a direct drive from the perkins.

Can I change the Enfield for another leg such as volvo or what ever. Enfields are no longer made. Parts are available but the leg is probably very old. A newer one may be better in the long term.

Can it be done and is it expensive?

Try calling Alan Stafford at SOS Boatservices. I know he rebuilt an Enfield on one of his boats.

Keep the Enfield, an absulute classic. The 4107 is still a tough motor, the Yanks at Westebeke do hardened seals for the crank ends. Lovely set-up.
