Endurance 37 GRP ?? any thoughts..

I looked at one in Jersey about 3 yrs ago. Good accommodation, solid hull; many were home finished, so layout varies.

If you come across an example which passes the survey, you'll have a good sailing boat with lots of internal space, and good looks, too !.

Always liked the look of them, even the ferro ones, seen a few, good room inside and good seaboats.

hiya slarty where you been hiding ?

I have the stretched version of the endurance called the hedoniste, awesome sea keeping, loves open seas HATES marinas has the turning circle of a super tanker.

They were designed by peter ibold and the plans are still available to build from, there were alot that were home completed so quality of fit out was varied.

Some were ferro cement, the later ones were GRP and some were steel (as is mine) the yard built examples are more sought after and fetch a higher price.

for long distance/live aboard a great boat, wont win any races but who cares !

Best mate has one which they lived on and cruised around the Med for 4 years. Solid boat with plenty of space.

They're now back and he's put it up for sale, boat now in Falmouth.

Hi Joe, Its your pal here!

Sounds good at sea but I'll have to get good insurance for the supertanker in the marina manouverability.
Maybe you could help certify me for the NHS bowthruster and Blue Ensign? - no - they'd probably take a leg off.

Do you think any of these guy's know of an Endurance club?

Still not got the hang of this posting yet.

see you soon /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Hi J & J, Depends what it,s costing, what sort of nick it,s in.

For the LOA : accomodation ratio, I don,t think the accomodation is great for a 37ftr.

A friend in Portugal had one, (since lost/sunk in the Caribb), so I have seen an interior.

It,s eyecatching, but otherwise an overcomplicated design, with no obvious advantages. IMHO. Bill.
