End splicing braid

The genoa furling gear on our boat has an endless loop control line (not the normal spool which fills and unfills)

We had the mast unstepped over winter which involved cutting the control line: so, now I have to install a new control line.

Does anyone know of a site which describes end splicing so that I can make the new endless loop?

I have the same continuous line system and have found that I can work the line out from between the jaws of the roller and leave the loop intact. As I take the mast down every season this has saved time when I have none to spare.
The instructions I have are for a connection called the Fleet Splice. You will need a fid and the line is supposed to be braid line which i think is softer than other types of rope.
 
Normally that would be a long splice, an end splice finishes of the end of a rope. If you are getting a fid kit (which you will need to do it) it usually includes instructions for how to splice a loop and a long slice if not any basic book on knots & splices.
 
I have sailspar continious loop. The rope is passed through a quick release block at the cockpit end and the tension is taken up by bungee cord to the stern so that the rope is lightly taut when furling. When strking the mast the rope is released from the quick release block and therefore no cutting is required.
I have a manual for the splicing of the continual rope and the set up as described. If you want I can scan it and send it to you?
