Well I have decided to slow down a bit and retire from Sun Coast Marine. I hasten to add the SCM sea school will carry on with Phil now at the Helm, so business as usual.

Sun Coast will still be based in my Atlas Marine shop in Duquesa, so I will not be completely divorced as it were.

This will give me more time to concentrate on the brokerage, plus enjoying cruising my boat, and more time for my wife and doggy.

Clive

Don't be sad, you should be very proud of what you've done, and go out there and enjoy yourself, your wife, dog and your boat, as well as your other business interests.

Oh, and don't leave this place.

All the best to you and yours.

Cheers

Al.

you have to be carefull when using such words the tree perverts will be paying your shop a visit.

Blimey Clive - and I thought my decision (to sell CI) was a tough one.

I'm pleased for you. It's good to be in a position to make decisions without being under pressure to make them - if you know what I mean.

Good luck to you, and we all hope to hear more from you with cruising pictures included, especially when winter returns to Britain and we all need cheering up /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Too much information, Clive /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Seriously though, I wish you all the best. Are you planning to cruise far?

Hi Clive,

We're out on the 24th for a couple of weeks. I'll buy you a drink to celebrate what with you being a pensioner and all... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Good luck with your semi retirement. You must have helped so many people during your time - including my two boys.

Good luck to Phil. It's been 10 years since he did my Day Skipper on Crystal Rapide in Southampton, now I'm a RYA cruising instructor, passing on all his good work. Life goes on!!

Thanks to all for your kind words folks, I will still be active on here as Sun Coast (providing the old mincers hold out)

I'll keep you to that drink Kevin, sorry I missed you as I was in Smir. The policia locale have stopped the Jolly's live music as she had the performers on the terrace, which is now taboo. Doing some private gigs though. Available for apartment warming do's upon completion, wink wink.

Anyone finding themselves out here do look me up Clive

Hi Kevin went to the Jollies last night Leslie went to the town hall and talked to the Majoress. She has got a licence now to have the music back so good news.

Well done, good move, You'll never regret the decision, it's important to retire while you still have the energy and imagination to manage and enjoy the transition.
Pop up to Empuruabrava sometime, there's bound to be at least one of us up there.
