End of an era….

Seven years ago when we moved Tomahawk to Fambridge Toby made us feel most welcome.

Today he broke my heart by saying he is leaving for pastures new. Whilst I wish him all the best with Ironsides, I will miss his easy and gentle way of doing things, (tomorrow). His last day will be in four weeks (or so).

An excuse for a pint or three?

A couple of years ago he told me he was planning to move. Then he bought Ironsides and stayed. Always been very friendly and helpful whenever I have visited.

Wow, that's really bad news. Toby always has a cheery wave and a smile for us. Not only a popular face around the Marina to be missed but I suspect a wealth of East Coast boating knowledge will go with him. I don't suppose he gets on here but this is to wish him well whatever he is planning. I'll definitely look him out next weekend to wish him well personally.....

It's not going to be the same around here when Toby, Linda, Kit and Ironsides are no longer part of the Fambridge scene
