Emergency Meeting Of Kangaroo Court !!

Re: no no no

MarrC

Terribly sorry. I certainly didn't mean to imply MrsB was copying my post or anything like that. Quite the reverse. I meant to imply I had arleady put up a post only a few minutes earlier in another thread saying why I thought charging by boat length was better than charging by pontoon length, with all that I think would imply for the future.
Therefore I was trying to ask MrsB to look at my post rather than retyping it in this thread, as I have nearly done now!
Again apologies for any offence taken, it was certianly not intended.

Re: no no no

but what you were saying was - "don't bother typing your own words, send people to look at mine, they're much better", non?

Oh, well, no matter, I'm sure PB will beat you up when she sees you :-)

Re: Thank you Byron

Dear Mark

I have reread my initial post here and I find it difficult to understand that it could be construed as criticising PaulineB or "don't bother typing" HER words - which I agree are usuaally very illuminating. I just thought it would take up less time for me, as well as everyone else, to point out I had just put up my differing point of view to hers elsewhere already.

My apologies again if I have broken any etiquette.

excatly what happens in france and spain. they take 15% of the rent-out fee, if yiou release your berth. But if you don't release, it stays empty, and even if you do release its the owner and not the annual renter who gets the loot, so nopoint in releasing a berth unless it's yours...which unfortunately means that all the marinas are "full" when they aren't.

Things that go bump in the night

It's to pay for all the medical costs for people who have bumped their heads at night, coming back from the restaurant/bar/toilet on:

davits
pullpits
bows
anchor rollers
...

extending from 45ft boats, parked in 40 ft spaces.
