I seem to be getting a new kind of error message these days, see below. Sometimes it appears the customer has actually received the message and sometimes not, but I get it every week now, and never did before. Any advice?

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

This is the result of a misconfiguration of the mail server you're sending to. There is a mismatch between 2 components - the DNS system which tells you where the mail should be delivered - and the mailserver itself which is claiming it does not deal with the domain name concerned.

There's not much you can do from your end other than contacting the ISP concerned to see if they are aware of the problem. Alternatively, try again a day later (in case the domain has recently moved service provider)

Hi
My guess is it could be spam filter software, installed on the intended recipients system,or more likely the server at the ISP, I guess Brendan will have a more definitive answer shortly!!!!!!

1. Have they changed their email address?

2. If you are with NTL or NTSmell! Their DNS servers can be really pants! You may want to try a different one.

No, I'm with BT and the customer is in Paris, though this particular form of words is not confined to this occasion and has appeared more and more. The odd thing is that while I assume they haven't got my mail, sometimes they have.

What email address does the NDR come from?

Also are you using Outlook?
