hi, we bought an Elysian 27 in february this year and have carried out a number of long needed maintenance items, while we use it every weekend for trips on the nene in peterborough, we plan to cover the middle level and ouse for our 2 week holiday in august, while taking it out at the weekend, the prop came in contact with something and since then there is a mild vibration in forward gear and a bad shaking with little movement in reverse, i suspect a replacement prop my be necessary to rectify the problem, can anyone tell me the information as to pitch/size/type prop that was fitted to a 1978 27foot aft cockpit model fitted with a perkins 4108 engine tmp gearbox, or suggest where i might be able to find this information before i get the boat out the water so i can order a replacement ready to avoid the boat being out the water too long,,,many thanks...Neil

Probably best to get it out and confirm the size, there will be many variations. As already said a prop repairer will do it in a day and much cheaper than a new one.

www.clementsmarine.co.uk talk to Paul Williams. As stated he will get it fixed for you while you wait. Or make a new one to suit, whatever it will be a top notch job.

I spoke with Paul today by phone, he seems a very knowledgeable bloke who knows what he is on about! he suggested i run the prop, shaft and coupling down to him and he will put it right. helps me with your recommendation, many thanks for you advice...Neil
