I am still getting to know my new to us Sealine S24 and am turning my attention to the Trim tabs.

The controller is an Eltrim and rather old but it does light up. I am not sure if it is working properly though because when I press the buttons the lights do change but not very fast or how I would expect. Can anyone give me some pointers how this works. I know the principal of trim tabs just not what to expect as I press the buttons

They do move slowly. The lights I believe work from feedback from your trim tabs so it look to me that all is well.

Same as above on my S24. Holding the top button (marked with a down arrow) sends them to their angle of full deflection, the bottom button brings them back up. The lights correspond to their angle.

Is the boat in the water? When I wasn't sure if mine was working (lights playing up) I rested the boathook on the rear edge of them - confirmed they were moving. I can also hear a slight whirr when they're moving with just the ignition on.

The do have rubber bellows that need changing every two to three years. Simple enough, but obviously the boat needs to be out of the water. Mine get changed with the drive bellows.

Boat is in the water and on the Norfolk Broads (We bought her a few weeks ago) so tabs not likely to have been used in a while. Boat hook idea is a good one will give that a go

Thanks
