Hi All,

The Eltrim trim-tab actuators on my 2004 Sealine S38 had seen better days, so I replaced them today. The original Eltrim actuators (which I think were the same age of the boat) had 7 coloured cores (red, black, brown, blue, white, grey and green/yellow) in the cable, whereas the replacement actuators have 5 black cores numbered 1 to 5.

Looking at the S38's wiring diagram, the red and the black cores seem to power the motor within the actuator, so I'm guessing 1 will connect to red and 2 will connect to black, but I have no idea what colours to connect cores 3, 4 & 5 to.

Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance.

These basicly are 3 connections in the ram . That let the control know the position . I've had them to bits and unbelievably repaired 1!!! Most say you can't. 1&2 are power this reverses via control to give the up and down etc . There is x2 lining switches inside the ram for full extention and retracted ( kills the drive power ) . These extra connections are to limits and position ladder indication . Screenshot_20190309-222413_Google.jpg

Attached a pick . Of diagram 1 to 5 top to bottom on control .
Hope that helps a bit .

Makes sense ... I'll go check the colour coding where the cables leave the controller, and use the wiring diagram to determine the 1-5 connections.
Thanks for your help.
Cheers
