Oh God the latest dilemma, it is a millpond, but she can't sleep as the auto pilots keep beeping to say they can't steer to course.

I had not noticed it until it was being talked about here a couple of weeks ago, she really is a winge!

Though I hope she does make it....
 
Give a good blow, everyone. At 2200 tonight her recorded speed was 0.01kts! I hate to think of her state of mind until she gets some breeze. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Our local daily paper, which is available in Day-Mellen's home town, carried a banner headline a couple of days ago that basically said:

IF SHE HATES IT SO MUCH, WHY DOES SHE BOTHER DOING IT?

Interesting comment from a rag that is usually of the St. Ellen persuasion.

Of course, by the time she gets back it will be "Local heroine conquers all" once again!

This is far too sensible and won't do at all. I couldn't begin to contemplate the feats of endurance she has already achieved, but the impression of a manic depressive does pervade her reports.

Black humour being what it is, it's inevitable that this draws a response and I don't believe for a moment that this is any more than light relief. She's a tough cookie to have come this far and I check her progress several times each day. I'm sure we're all behind her every mile of the way, but don't you think there's an element of comedy to be exploited from her plaintive reports?

Sorry to bring matters down to a base level, but I think I know exactly what she needs to sort herself out. No, I am not volunteerning, but if I had been alone for a few months I might.
