Hm. I see that Ellen will be attempting another rtw record attempt.

Is there any particular reason why this time it's a solo attempt, rather than the expert crew under her command a year or so ago?

She's going to attempt to break the multihull round the world alone record.

Reading her first autobiog, whatever it was called, I got the definite impression that she is a loner more than a team player. She is at home with her own company, and happy to make decisions which do not affect anybody else, also to push herself way beyond the limit and suffer the consequences.

So she probably thinks she has more chance of a record breaking success on her own, without having to manage others at the same time.
