DON'T FORGET GRANDSTAND 19 Dec 2004
Watch BBC2 at 4.15pm this afternoon to see BBC's Grandstand special round-up feature of Ellen's record attempt so far...

The details were a cut and paste from the TeamEllen web site, still showing the same details. We will soon know!

So there wasn't time.

Well that's ok, it's not as if Great Britain has a great maritime history after all.

"I'm sorry, we don't have time to bring it to you now.." Bl**dy typical!

<hr width=100% size=1>The question 'Why not?' is a very difficult question to answer, and a very foolish question to ask.

I felt so annoyed that I've emailed them to complain. Taken in conjunction with the Olypic sailing coverage, and leading up to SeaBritain 2005, it's not good enough!

Re: Swindled by the rowing mafia at the BBC

Ok I can accept a topical review of another great British sport woman just after she is named sports personality of the year but then to get another rehash of the poseurs in shades story - Struth!

I think the British sailing team delivered about the same number of Olympic medals but the rowers have benefited from 10 times the TV coverage on the BBC.

Let's hope the sailing establishment adopt the new championship formula whereby the points system is used just for qualification into the final and the winner of the final race gets gold. Much more TV friendly.

Re: .. and what happened to the motor racing?

You mean the exhibition champion and champions indoor event in Paris, loads of that 2 hours earlier.
