Or if they simply decided not to renew the storage agreement, which as I recall is paid until the end of March.

Did my carb thread turn nasty? I don't remember that. Still if it had, I stick in there and keep communication going. I don't see vitriol. I see people wondering what's going on and questioning the purpose of the thread.
Are we not allowed to do that? At least we aren't creeping around Preston doing an impression of Shoestring.

The carburettor brought out the forums ingenuity at its best, I remember.

Ellie has been run off, lets be quite clear about that. Relentlessly, repeatedly and not in a 'we wish you well' sort of way or even face to face..By adults who are quite capable of moderating their tone if they choose to. There but for the grace of, eh?

Irrespective of content ( like school reports, for example), the posts say much about the character and timbre of the posters and less about the recipient of the post, which will be here in forum consciousness for as long as they continue here, I reckon! Just like politics really but faceless.

Run off her own websites and FB by posts from YBW - you sure about that?

Hopefully she's working for the money needed or on holiday and it will all come out in the wash. I'm hoping that Elizmore gets launched as it would be a shame to see the boat spend another 10 years on the hard - I think that would just about finish Elizmor off.

Indeed. One is never sure of anything in this life. And then its over.. Thats part of the adventure I guess.

I don't do any social meedja other than this one YBW site ( where do people find the time?) so I dunno as to the wider implications..

I'm not sure that the evidence supports that. As someone else has pointed out, the general tone of posts was overwhelmingly supportive while Eleanor was active, and her inactivity followed Preston Marina's intervention. Which may of course be a coincidence.

It would not in any case explain why she has also stopped posting updates on her website, blog or facebook page, over all of which she has complete control.

Well I for one am not at all clear about that & wonder what you base your opinion on.

She stopped posting on YBW, FB & her Blog after Preston Marina stated their case very competently & reasonably, which lead people to speculate that a "cease & desist" order had been made or at least threatened. I see no connection between the teasing on here, most of which was long after the marina posts & anyway much of which was aimed at other posters rather than Ellie.

If you want to help Ellie, why not send her a fiver or three, and maybe she will let you sign her hull?

In view of Preston Marina's later clarification about Elizmor's arrival there, I have been wondering if the previous owner has perhaps been drawn into a legal argument.

Now, I am not going to go back through the entire thread to support my interpretation, just 'cos. But that really is my interpretation. And one day i shall find out too !

Meanwhile, the old adage 'would you like to be treated this way day after day after day' probably serves eh?
