I have an old one of these 3 way fridges in my boat, problem is the element (12v/240v) has died on the 12v side.
I don't want use the gas when underway but I cannot locate a replacement part.
Has anyone any tips where to get parts for the older fridges. or possibly "got one somewhere" it is a small brass tube with four wires.

I had this problem, ordered a new part from a local Electrolux supplier. Then received a call from one of their engineers, stating that they couldn't let me have it because they couldn't inspect the gas installation. I pointed out that I wanted the 240 element. Doesn't matter, he said, we have to inspect the gas. I asked if he would come and fix it for me. Turns out they are not allowd to work on boats. I said I'd take the fridge to my garage. Then he can't inspect the gas installation. Catch 22.
In the end I bought one off the shelf in a caravan shop, it was about 30 quid.
We run ours on gas, but then we don't heel. The 12v is only intended as a "maintenance" level of cooling when the engine is supplying lots of amps, it's no use for actually cooling the thing down and will eat up battery power in no time. 240 to get it it cold and freeze the ice-trays, then gas once on the move.

Call a local caravan accessory shop. The part number was 2952174-031 (I think the 12v and 240 are in one unit - not 100% sure), but if you look on the "gas" parts display in the shop you'll likely see one.

Hope this helps in some way.

Many thanks Alistair.
Ours is also a motorboat I just want the 12v to maintain the temperature whilst on the move, and I have fitted a charge relay from a towbar supplier (cost £8) to stop the battery discharging when the engines are off.

Thanks again Rick
