I have recently bought a new Beneteau antares series 9 anniversary with a volvo 225 engine.
The information that was supplied with the boat is very basic.
Where can I obtain a wiring diagram please?

Most boat wiring diagrams are just guides if they exist at all, no two boats even identical models will be wired the same, they are all handbuilt on the day. The Beneateu should be fairly basic so I guess there may not be much variation, but I'd still reccomend tracing it through yourself.

Not fully true.
Sealine is mentioned above, from the late 1980's they were fitted with standard wring looms. All the boats were pre-wired for all standard options, i.e. cabin heating. From 1991 looms were fitted with plugs, we suplied the switch panels with matching plugs. At the time all pin notation was also the same, so you could plug a 240 Ambasador panel into a 360 Statesman boat, and all the circuits would work upto the circuits in the 240. At the time Princess where hand wiring there boats, the elctrician went on board with a load of cable reels. We went in and did a redesign of there switch gear to convert the boats to looms. Not sure if they have reverted though.
These days there should be full details to meet CE regs, and ISO standards, so diagrams should be there today.

Our identical serie 9 handbook does give cable run & trunking positions but no wiring diagram, it is all very straight forward though and is in fact a “loom” with unused circuits for options still there the main switch panel is quite a simple affair and all the cabling associated with it cleanly arranged on DIN mounts and easily identifiable. I have fitted numerous bits & pieces including an NMEA 2000 network backbone and found it simple and with easy access to existing trunking on each job. Was there something specific?

I'm sure your right, clearly the "mass" producers have come on a bit. As I'm sure you know though what won't be shown on a wiring diagram are the additional accessories, which could be generators, radar, VHF, bow thusters etc... or anything that has been added by a dealer or owner outside the factory. Normaly its a fault with something like that which prompts the request for a wiring diagram, but is unlikely to be much use.
