Hi I have a small 240 volt fridge for use when on shore power, It is plugged in in a very awkward to get at plug. I would like the option of being able to switch it off without getting to the plug. It is a small fridge but I am not sure of the wattage and the yacht is currently in spain and I wanted to take a switch down on my next trip. Do you think a normal light switch would be o.k. to use or I have seen that sometimes must be a fused spur or also seen a fan isolator switch - help I am a bit nervous with 240 volt and would appreciate advice

Quick simple answer is to buy a 4 way inivdually switched extension lead and operate(Can get them with fuses built in) from there also gives you to option of useing your shaver as well. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

since it is 240 the ampere is low
in 12 volts the ampere is high.

probably it is 80-150 watts engine .
like mine .

so any switch will do the job.
