Electrical gremlin

The echo sounder on my Antares 760 recently died and at the same time other problems arose. Switching on the screen wipers switched off the chart plotter and made VHF reception intermittent. Apart from the sounder everything works in isolation, but starts to misbehave when used in conjunction. Any ideas where I should start looking?

sounds like earth issues, try and find the busbar, check clean, etc...

Thanks chaps. Now if I can only find where Monsieur Beneteau hides the busbar on the Antares 760 I will be in business.

On my 760 there was no busbar. Problems arise as owners start adding instruments, autopilots, chart plotters, eberspachers, etc by connecting to the existing wiring or switch panel.

I'm adding a separate fuse box with negative busbar to my 760 as the existing wiring seems 'confused'.

The wiper switch is spookily close to the accessory electrics off switch, maybe some crossed wiring?
