I am considering replacing the toilets in my Turbo 36 for electric ones as SWMBO and guests struggle with the Jabsco manual ones.
Jabsco offer an electric conversion kit but these are nearly as much as a new toilet.

Which toilet would any one recommend please.

Tecma. The gold standard in electric WCs that are pleasing to the eye and can be operated reliably by anyone who can press a single button once. My new boat has Jabsco which works OK but it's not as nice a thing.

Also upgrade to fresh water flush. You'll never ever ever want to have a manual pump / seawater flush WC again.

I changed my Jabsco for an electric Jabsco Lite. It's a straight swap and easily done. Running the cable is the only thing that takes time.
Everyone using it approves. It is rather noisy though.

I'm looking to do the same on our Sealine F36 and was thinking about the Jabsco
Iiteflush
Seems like good value for money

Has anyone changed the motor on an older Jabsco to the quieter version? Mine is pretty load so tempted to change if it’s worth it

Very interested in this as well. How recent is the quieter version? I had the electric conversion done when I bought the boat three years ago and it wakes everyone up if you need a visit at night. I prefer it to the pump version but there is a price to pay. Agree with Scala regarding the fresh water flush

Tecma or Planus - they are much the same.
I understand that the guys who set Planus up came from Tecma so you could consider Planus as a more recent design than Tecma.
But, in reality, they are much the same.
I've never owned a Jabso toilet but I understand that even the quiet ones are like an express train passing.

I (with help from a forum friend) fitted three Planus toilets just under three years ago.
Very please with them.

The jabsco can be noisy but we find that at night the noise is greatly reduced by using more flush water - we use the shower head (which also serves as an effective bog brush should such be required!).

Don’t be tempted by the Jabsco manual to electric conversion kit. Load of rubbish. I replaced with a jabsco lite flush and it’s been fine.

My Broom had a pair of Jabsco Quiet Flush. Worked fine and had no problems over 9 years of ownership. Incredibly noisy though. Quiet Flush? Far from it but perfect for those who want an early morning alarm call courtesy of anyone who has to get up in the night to answer a call of nature ?.

New boat has Tecma ?

Thanks for all the replies.
I had a look at Tecma and Planus and they look very good but well over £1000 each :(
Wow - they have gone up in price in the last few years - maybe it was a pound/euro exchange issue.
I paid just short of £800 each for mine.
It might be worth giving Aquamarine in Plymouth a call and see if they will give you a deal.
They are very approachable.

You might want to think abut keeping one manual. That way, you're OK if there's a power supply problem.
