Electric toaster for us on shorepower

Well my toaster at home seems to have a solenoid that latches the pop up mechanism down when heat elements are on. tripped in some way when it thinks toast is done. itg does sound like AC voltage at the toaster in the boat is low so solenoid will not latch. Check mains voltage but most likely a poor distribution system at the marina. So probably not much you can do about it. ol'will

Thank you William - you have understood exactly what I was verybadly trying to explain. So I think I need a solenoid free / mechanical latch toaster? Can anyone recommend such an 'old fashioned' toaster.

If the marina is supplying electricity to berth holders it should be within the specified UK limits . In the UK, the declared voltage and tolerance for an electricity supply is 230 volts -6%, +10%. This gives an allowed voltage range of 216.2 volts to 253.0 volts.
