The wiring diagram is different and can easy cange to full fill your need.
Donot replace ampermeter it is very important, bare in mind that the alternator is always conected to battary /

The here, should hope it'd have basic diagrams.

Think many boat ammeters are rubbish , but many boat voltmeters not too clever either, I'd try to get a non-boaty lcd voltmeter & use that, with appropriate current shunt to make it an ammeter if you want. RS, maplin, farnell etc should supply.

Connect both starter motors to the one battery, then conect one alternator to the engine battery, the other alternator to the domestic battery, then put a voltage controlled relay between the two batteries.
Both battery banks have there own dedicated alternator, when the engine battery reaches it's preset level it will be linked to the domestic bank as well, splitting the load, thus giving a better charge voltage. We ran this system with both engine alternators running linked battery banks for years with Sealine without any problem with alternators. The relay if a suitable value will give link start capability, and give redundancy if you have a alternator fail.
I would leave the ammeters in and fit voltmeters as well, a better view of the situation is available with both volta and amps being available.
Will email you a wiring daigram

I`d suggest for the cost or space, have one battery for each engine start, then split charge one or both alternators to a seperate bank of domestic batteries. This has worked well with us for some years - you always have fully charged started batteries which can be linked to one another via a switch if necessary.

Hi...I have two motors and starter and house batteries as you describe, with a battery switch. The idea of a voltage controlled relay sounds simple and sweet...where can one find such a beast?
Cheers....R

Hi!

Tried to surf to www.kddpowercentre.com but the page cant be found. Has the site gone live or has it not panned out?

I'm looking for plastic surface for the power (220) panel and the helm plastic panel for a Sealine 365 Sportsbridge. One some of the buttons on the mentioned panels the surface plastic has cracked.
