Hi does anyone know where i can get hold of sail sizes for an Ecume de mer? I'm thinking of buying one but need to factor in the cost of new sails, I'll need a new main sail and roller furling head sail.
Thank you

Try Westaway Sails, 01752 892560, they have a good database of various boats' rigs, also have secondhand sails graded by quality / condition so there may be something to suit.

No connection other than happy customer.

You need to check which rig the boat has. The Ecume De Mer came with 2 sizes of rig and two different keels. The cruising rigged version has a draft of about 4ft, but the racing version has a draft of 5ft. The racing version usually has a wheel adjuster on the backstay that the cruising version doesn't.
Or instead of faffing about with new sails you could buy mine:D

Thanks Pete, I'm confused now:confused:
the spec sheet states the draught is 4'2 but there is a back stay tensioner fitted i know the rig was replaced less than 10yrs ago. If i do decide to buy the boat I'd measure up properly i just need a ball park figure.

we have a different boat for which we are in the process of replacing most of the rigging but it is very roughly same length so it if really is a ball park figure you are looking for..........

for an oyster 26:
new sails (main and head sail) - 1600
new furling - 600

no idea how the sail sizes of the boats compare but it might give you an approx figure
