Eco-Worthy Solar Panels from China

I am thinking of buying two 100W semi-flexible solar panels from China via E-bay, and was wondering if anybody has bought panels from Eco-Worthy? If so were they OK and did you have any problems with customs?

I have a semi flexible 40w panel made in China. Can't comment on whether you're likely to pay VAT though as mine was supplied from within the UK by Lensun Solar on ebay. Manufacturing process of the panel itself will I'd imagine be the same, i.e. thin aluminium, PV cells, barrier coat over & skimping a bit on cable/diode quality to keep costs down. I'm happy with it for the money, this thread might be of interest...

Actually, just checked again on e-bay, the mono panels are supplied from Austria and the poly panels direct from China.

As I am going for the mono panels (size per watt) then customs is no longer an issue.

Velcro attachment to Bimini

These seem light enough to velcro the panel to the Bimini.. Has anybody tried this before
 
Haven't tried it but would say they would be if moored/anchored, just be careful about them coming off when the wind gets under the panel. Mine is secured to the hatch garage with cord tied around the coachroof grab rails to the holes at the corners of the panel and stays there all the time...
 
Chinese solar panels

Strange company. There Austrian dealer is near Salzburg and I though I could pick them up personally to save the postage. After sending an E-mail in German I got a reply in English saying they do not understand.

Ummmmhhhh! I notice that the panels being sold in Austria have now been removed from e-bay???
