Eco Worthy LiFePo4 100ah 12v £350

If you look around the site you will find important pages unfilled - including the one on charging. it's probably a one-man business importing cheap units from the Wild West of Chinese LFP markets. Even cheap BMSs have low temperature disconnect these days. The ones inside these batteries will be ultra-cheap. The problem with a neat case is that you can't see inside. I wouldn't personally use them on a boat. There is no data on the BMS parameters, no way of knowing state of charge. The battery is just the start, you still have to make a safe system that copes with sudden blackout through BMS-inspired disconnect which will come without warning.

If you want more detail, I've written plenty on this site on the disadvantages of drop-in LFP replacements and am now boring even myself.

These are back on sale for about £350 with a discount code.

And a strip down video has emerged on youtube:
- pt1
- pt2
- pt3 capacity test

Those vids look promising. My friend is a marine electrician and lithium battery obsessive. He recently tested two of these same batteries that were installed in a boat two years ago. They showed no degradation (I’m sure there’s a better word) and he was generally impressed with them.

I'm not sure I'd use one in a boat, but great if others are confident. I have used one lightly with a small domestic solar system. Thinking of buying a second for 24v, my small Victron MPPT will cope with a slightly larger array at 24v so maybe a cheap upgrade with a couple more panels.

And there's a Victron add on module for low temp disconnect which will solve that problem. I think it's good value.

I brought 2 of the 30Ah ones which I use for work, I had to buy a different charger (Victron which you can setup via bluetooth) as my c-tek one wasn't smart enough. They work really well, and I will probably buy another couple for the boat at some point. Used to power video kit all day, work well.
