If you have been using GPS there is indeed a "breadcrumb" trail retained in memory. Wouldn't take 5 mins to check it either. THEN what will you say? Hell, even my phone tracks my whereabouts if I use the GPS function.

Next idea for avoiding punishment?

I know my phone can be roughly triangulated from the masts it communicates with when on (assuming it can reach more than one), but it only creates breadcrumb trails when I use the GPS. I worked for BT for 35 years & did another 9 years telecoms management consultancy.

Way ahead of you - the top notch Furuno gear I use has a 'clear track' function. It even allows you to set how much of your track you want retained in memory (zero option is useful).
