Greetings all,

I'm having trouble locating a service manual for my D3LC... Is there one on the web anywhere, do you know?

And what's the best way of cleaning the heat exchanger?

Many thanks...

I clean my heat exchanger by scraping with screwdrivers and wire brushes, and using some carburettor spray or engine cleaner to get the rest out that you cant reach.

Seems to do the trick. Oridinarily, there shouldnt be any soot or carbon buildup. There is a procedure in the manual to check the fuel quantity being pumped. I checked this, and found my pump to be faulty (was delivering too much fuel). I changed it, and ive not needed to pull it apart since (over 18 months ago)

Many thanks for that - I stripped it, then cleaned it as per the manual, using carb cleaner and an air probe, and I think I got most of the muck out.

Good stuff. Hopefully your will now be trouble free for some time to come!

Mines gone over a year with no work on it at all! Must be due a breakdown soon! lol /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
