If I were servicing it I think I would be plugging in a new, or known good ECU, you should be getting more "clicks" (I assume you mean pump pulses)

Hello,the first 'click' is coming from heater side,[not the pump, ]looks like i will have to plug into a new ecu as advised,will do that cheers,dave

If you can borrow a good ECU then that would be a good quick check ( your next door neighbour??..... or put yours in his ??)
The clicking in a way sounds positive, your ECU seems to to be ramping down fan speeds but what of your pump? is that clicking? it should be.
