Tried to turn on the Eberspacher this morning. The timer unit indicated that the heater was on, but no noise or heat. I suspected the main fuse (25A according to the manual). Can anyone suggest where the main fuse is? I only have a circuit diagram showing that it exists, not where it is!

Despite the eberspacher being fitted by professionals, the main fuse on our boat was under the floorboards in the cockpit locker.

My advice would be to follow the cabling from the unit back to the batteries.

The main fuse is an in line fuse in the +ve power lead.

The original fuse holder can be prone to making a poor contact.

I have replaced quite a few of those holders with a single car blade type in line one

On my D3LC, both fuses (car type blades 25 & 5(?) amps) are mounted adjacent to battery take off point at the battery, not wired via main battery switches so programmer works with other circuits disabled. Suggest you look around the battery area.

Oh [--word removed--]! If our experience is anything to go by you can be in for a treasure hunt. There was a thermal breaker hidden amongst the wiring in the electrical panel and another fuse actually in the E unit
Good luck!

Check the forum for lockout and Eberspacher. Certain models had a kind of "3 strikes and you're out" functionality. After a certain number of unsuccessful start attempts the unit believes there is a serious problem and locks you out until it can be reset by an engineer.
