Hi,
Can anyone recommend insulation for the hot air ducting on a diesel heater. There was an article in Sailing Today which recommended Keto Thermoduct, but I can't find the company.
Thanks,
Tim

Hi, bought some from a company called Moody at the show on Saturday- VERY helpful sales staff! Its a thinsulate material of some kind, and can be bought as pre finished lengths or in sheet form to cable tie to your ductwork. I havnt got the number to hand, but they are based at Swanwick, Southampton. They are Webasto dealers, but the insulation would do an Eber system. PM me if you get stuck and I will try to get the number.

Brian.

are the people who were on the Moody stand. I have fully insulated my system with their product (thinsulate based) and the difference is remarkable with the forward cabin actually getting warm on a 4 outlet Eberspacher D4 system.

Armaflex

If you want a lower cost alternative consider a product called Class 0 Armaflex made by Armacell. I have use 13mm thickness and it is available via large plumbers merchants in a large range of diameters and thicknesses. It is about one third the price of the Thinsulate product. Wallas sell it for their heaters with a bit of a mark up in price. Eberspacher UK say they also use it. See http://www.armaflex.com
