We have a D3L installed with Vent/Off/Heat switch and room thermostat. All seems to work well, however I'm curious as to what the green and red lights on the thermostat indicate and can't see any reference to them in the manuals we have on board.

Any information would be much appreciated.

We had a similar set-up on the previous boat. Green meant the heater and ventilator worked at half-power, red light was for full blast. You would hear the pump rate redoubling and the fan speeding up as you turned the thermostat up and the green light switched to red.

To put your mind at rest, the fault indication is that the heater stops! I believe the rheostat (operating unit in Eber-speak) flashes continuously if there is an overheat fault, but the heater will have stopped by then.

Rob.
