I decided to get a separate fuel tank made for the Eberspacher I recently fitted and took a bit of a punt with a guy off Ebay, I'm really pleased with it and it cost £85.00 including delivery. He also made a couple of alterations to his standard tank for me.
If anyone else wants a similar tank his Ebay name is bubs260.

Looks ok , just a thought i take it you will fill it first before fitting to check for leaks and also flush it out. I know i am probley stating the bleeding obvious

Re: Maybe a stupid question, but... why?

Don't want to run it on red, although it will have a bit of a tint in it. Plus it would be a long run from the main tanks....and of course, it could be regularly topped up from the mains. /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

Typical, all the fuss we made to have reduction on our fuel because of heating and here comes a long a chap "not for me thanks, white only "

No pleasing some people,,,

Another ebayer to look for is alifab123 or just phone him on 07834182486 it's the sideline of 2 guys I work with, they usually make fuel tanks and radiators for racing cars/bikes but will make pretty much anything, you draw it and they will make it, very nice work too.
He welded my heatexchanger/manifolds for me

I have also heard that they run on paraffin, in fact I was told they run better on paraffin than diesel. Would be interesting to hear the comments of the forum on this matter, as I have just bought a new Eberspacher system to install in the boat and if paraffin is better then I shall put in the right plumbing.

Re: Maybe a stupid question, but... why?

when i had an eber it worked fine on parafine, the main advantage is that it burns hotter thus giving more heat, and is supposed to be cleaner, used mine for 3 winters without service or problems.

Re: Maybe a stupid question, but... why?

I ran the webasto on my previous boat on parafin all the time as it was a petrol engined boat so needed it's own tank, started better and smelt better than my present eber does on diesel.

Edit: Oops wrong ebay username in earlier post.
Try alifab-123 or look here .
