It doesn't sound right. My Mikuni never had bubbles. If a bubble of air is big enough to cause a flame out it might not relight its self unless you power down and start again.

i have been playing with mine this weekend and previously have noticed small bubbles going thru the clear pipe, it isnt a prob, it keeps on going. have always puzzled where they come from, have a stack pipe and about a metre of the black pipe coming from it and definitely no leaks. only thing i can think of is that the slight "vacuum" on the stack pipe rise pulls entrained air out of the fuel.

In my limited experience, bubbles are normal. I have experience of 2 Eberspacher systems (1 small, 1 big) both were professionally installed, both often had lots of bubbles in the fuel line. I thought 'that can't be right', but was told not to worry, and had no (fuel-related!) problems with either installation. I also wondered where the bubles were coming from and decided that it could only be air or vapour emerging under 'suck'.
My heater has bubbles in the line, but has never stopped (yet!)
I think its just the same bubbles of air that sit there, and the fuel goes past them, as the pump delivers such a small amount of fuel.
If you look closely, the bubbles are actually fuel droplets moving through the air in the pipe. Nothing to worry about, i was told its normal. Just fitted copper lines to comply with bss bulls**t, so i cant see them now anyway!
Page 10 of the eber installation instructions for my eber specifically show bubbles are not permitted in the fuel line so what does one do? follow the installation instructions or allow leaks to create bubbles?.
I do not have any visible bubbles either in this installation nor in any previous installations as per the instructions in the installation manuals.

Personally, i wouldnt be bothered about it unless it stops working. Aint broke dont fix it, cause if i try to fix it, i will break it!
[/ QUOTE ]Well said! If yours is running with bubbles in the line why bother? Personally I would look for a union leaking somewhere though but there agian I don't relish the idea of pratting about trying to fix the problem just when I want the heater, or should I say when SHMO demands the heater.
