eberspacher failure

That's an old model, if I'm not mistaken. Is there a pattern to the flashes. ie a certain number of flashes, then a break then the same number of flashes again. If so, count them and that will indicate the fault.

If you need repairs, I would honestly suggest getting a chinese heater. It will cost you less than even the most simple repair on an eber. You can get a whole kit for sub £100 and as you have the pipe work and wiring in place already it will be a straightforward fit.

The most common reason for an Eber not firing up would appear to be low voltage, they're very fussy. Try cleaning the connectors, especially the one nearest the heater which tends to be in a damp locker. Also consider the state of your batteries if attempting to start from them.

Worth trying starting heater with engines running , is heater fuel pump ticking ?
Several online sites with helpful basic free advice.
If the heater is fairly old, mine was 15 years old., would seriously suggest following CLBs advice.,especially if not prepared to have a bit of a go yourself doing some basic fault finding, which always takes time.
Many replacement parts for the " eber" cost more than a complete brand new chinaspacher.
I bought the more expensive "Russian" version.
Lots of info on here about the good and bad points of eber clones on the market.

My Eberspacher D1LC Compact cabin heater will not fire up. The green light and red both light when the system is turned on but both flash rapidly. Any ideas from my learned friends here
Have you had any work, done on your unit, recently ? Years ago, I had a 24 v eberspacher, where the igniter failed.
The local repair shop, fitted a 24 volt igniter, and nothing happened, long story cut short, I phoned the company and got told, yes the eberspacher unit i had, was 24 v, however.... the Igniter had to be 12 v ! Problem sorted . Never used that repair company again.
