Sorry for yet another Eber post
I have a fault code 31 on the D4 -'Blower motor interrupted' This was caused I believe by the blower fan rubbing on the ECU case.
I slackened the screw holding the ECU and pushed it clear of the fan. The fan now spins freely.
However the heater will not start - nothing happens when switched on via the 701 controller.
The fault code 31 is still showing and cannot be cleared by following the instructions for the 701.
Any help or ideas gratefully received.
Thanks

As I understand it, fault code 031 relates to the circuitry of the motor, not whether it's been physically stopped. The manual I've seen says that the steps to take are "Check blower motor cable harness for correct routing and damage. If O.K., disconnect cable harness from control unit and check for continuity, if O.K., replace control unit."

Done that - all in order
Problem is that I cannot clear error code from 701 controller
