I have an eberspacher D4 plus airtronic from 2013. I noticed the heat output has suddenly reduced and it sounds quieter than normal. With the heater turned up high, the heat output is about 50%, when I reduce to half capacity the heat output drops to like it's on minimum, when I turned down towards the minimum setting, it seems to stop and the fuel pump stops ticking. No fault codes displayed.
Any ideas what could be wrong? Could this be a control issue? It seems like both the fan and the fuel pump run slower than normal.

Thanks!

Is it running on clean fuel? The small size fuel pipe and pump block easily

It could also be a poor electrical connection somewhere.

They are designed to be used.
Think overnight truck parking, or caravaning in winter. On boats they are often used very little.
Lustyd may have the right approach.

Problem solved. The ducting had popped off the back of the vent, the hot air was then getting blasted up the back of the wall and heating up the temperature sensor triggering the heater to ramp down. Really simple after all but confusing!
Thanks for all your inputs 😊
