Hi I have a 12v eberspacher d2 and I'm having some problems with it
I can't seem to adjust the temp
I'm using a 801 controller
I also bought a new loom(not original) because I thought maybe there was something wrong with the loom but it didn't fix the problem
The 801 controller is new
Before the 801 controller I had a 7 day timer 701 but that only has 4 wires but I still can't adjust the temp
Thanks for your help in advance

there should be a red/slate and a brown/white lead in the circuit to the timer, the red/slate is the one that sends the 'set' level to the ecu ( by varying the voltage) You can check this by measuring the voltage, at the very least if you see it reducing as you change the setting then you can be sure that the timer side of things is ok if there is/has been an external thermostat then that could be complicating the issue. If the set up is just using the thermostat in the heater mouth then are you sure that the returning air to the heater is actually warm enough. You could fool the thermostat a bit by directing the warmed air straight back to the heater mouth. Don't forget that the heater takes some time to respond to a new setting.

Just to be sure, you don't say how the heater is installed. Does the intake take in air from the same area as you are heating or does it take in external air? The heater can either use the sensor in its intake (which assumes you are recirculating the cabin air) or can have a remote sensor, either to improve sensitivity to the temperature in a given location or to allow the heater to draw in from and external supply. Obviously, if you are taking air from say a cockpit locker and using the integral sensor, then it will never know that the cabin is getting heated!
