Please advise if anyone has an old eberspacher timer lying around. I am told the only unit that will operate my type D2 is a 701 10 003.

I have tried Ebay but zero success, plus nowadays the prices people want do not reflect reality.

Just spent 200 quid on a full recondition of heater itself and the up arrow on the timer has packed up during re-installation.

Thanks

They are extremely reliable though, so unlikely to need replacement. We have one too so all in the same "boat". I believe it can be bypassed by connecting two pins in the loom, certainly that's a valid startup test method.

Thanks all, It was technical department at servicing that stated they were now obsolete and that they could sell me a mock up of two timers for £117 but it sounded messy.
perhaps these are out of stock at places for some upcoming reason??

Krueger probably have heaps of second hand units that they have replaced over the years

Pretty sure that all you need is a basic controller and a cheap timer. You wire the timer across two wires from the controller, as kind of mentioned in post #7.

I did this with the D3L on a previous bot, worked perfectly.

Better to fix with the proper one though, otherwise you end up with random holes in the boat from differing screw patterns  Almost worse than broken heating!
