eBay Counterfeit Navionics Chart Cards

As per the title a lot of counterfeit cards being sold on eBay who do nothing about removing them. At least my wife got her money back after thinking it would be a good birthday present. The trouble with refunds on eBay is the seller can remove negative feedback:

Yes. In my case it was obvious the card itself was fake and the charts didn't draw properly.

Purchased one sometime in 2022 via ebay,been working in Raymarine Chartplotter ever since.
Happy to pay £50.00 to update Navionics in a Tablet, very reluctant to pay £200 to do exactly the same job in a chartplotter.
The seller made it clear what was for sale and that charts could not be updated later.

Well like it or not it's illegal to sell or knowingly purchase counterfeit software and the more people that support that sort of activity just make it worse.

Cannot imagine for one second that a company with the reach and clout of Raymarine would stand by and do nothing if they considered they could take any action to prevent the advertising or sale of this chart card openly on Ebay... its not exactly the Dark Web !
Would be interesting to know ?

As you know, reporting to Ebay is a complete waste of time.

The lack of knock off Rolexes and Gucci bags on Ebay would suggest that large powerful organisations do have some influence in removing counterfeit items from the internet.
If in fact these charts do infringe Garmins copywrite rules, would be very interested as to why no action appears to have been taken by a international company with a no doubt well funded legal dept. ?

Not completely true. If you report a fake Rolex it's gone in an hour (I suspect Rolex's legal team threatened eBay a while ago though).
