Eathing ashore... The Ferryboat Fambridge.

Sorry to hear that... We've eaten there a couple of times and it always seemed good, but I guess even the best kitchen can suffer a rogue contaminant.

As for your current problem - very burnt toast is the solution - but I mean burnt to a cinder! It will work wonders with no side effects - other than setting off all the fire alarms in the house (or boat).

When I can get out of bed.
It can't be bacterial infection as the chips were good and hot as was the fish. It seems more like something I could not digest but I can't work out what?

It seems like my tummy stopped working
Still throwing up. Butam starting to feel less bad.

this salad in hot chicken sauce from another Essex club made swmbo very ill that night, fortunately she left most of it on the plate

Four of us are eating there this fri eve so I hope it's not the pubs fault ....

It would be a good idea for the OP to tell them - that way, they will have the opportunity to review their kitchens and make sure that they are not to blame.

May not be the food, (or beer!) at all. Stomach bugs can be picked up by handling almost anything: I am very careful to wash my hands after handling mooring ropes, dinghy painters and handrails before eating food. Nevertheless agree, inform the pub in case there is a problem. Apparently rice kept warm, not freshly cooked, is the most usual cause of stomach bugs in pubs, cafes.

Food poisoning usually takes 24-48 hours to rear its ugly head, so unlikely to have been something you ate that night!

I'm surprised by that - it typically does not take much more than 24 hours for food to traverse the digestive tract completely, so I would expect food poisoning to hit pretty quickly or not at all.
