It's amazing how chubby the boats look, except in your first pic where the look very sleek.

No! It's not always sunny like that /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif. However, it is always warm by UK standards during the season (April to end September). The water temperatures are often in the region of normal UK summer air temperatures /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I think they look chubby in the running pix because of the depth of the trough behind the bow wave. They are very similar in hull shape to an enlarged S&S 34 or the S&S designed Swan 38.

Hardly surprising as it's a modified S&S design from the same period, although they stayed in production 'til the early '90s.
