Mooring in Brixham Marina this season. Lots on the web, but any personal recomendations. I love seafood, Liz any meat dish. I like good bitter and both bashing the liver with good red wines, although my theory is that there are no bad ones, some just aren't as good as others!!!!!

Ha Ha, Brixham and good food and drink???
Plenty of greasy spoon cafes, fish & chip shops and tacky pubs just 5 mins walk from the Marina.
I've never dared having anything more than a cup of tea/coffee in any of them.
However, there must be some decent places.
I'll keep watching this thread with interest.

Have never found a decent cup of coffee!

The Yacht Club is fine.

The Prince William opposite the visitors pontoon has good beer and half decent food at the carvery.

The Berry Head hotel is 20 mins walk and was good last time we went there.

More often we buy fish in the town and eat on the boat.

Yep, Breakwater Bistro is very good, only decent place I have ever found there! 01803) 856738 /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

Weve tried Pilgrims on the corner opposit Co-op by the inner harbour, they do 2 for 1 which initially put us off but food was good and hot. The larger came out of a tin. Been there twice this year.
Tried Shores Restaurant on Saturday, special of two 8oz rump steaks with pepper or onion sauce for £16.95 very nice quick service hot food. I wouldn't recommend the bottle of house red, but the wine list starts at £14.95.
