There are some older thread where people talk about an easyreef behind the mast furling system with a Maxiroach sail.

I have an easyreef system on my boat (definitely not a great system), and am looking at a replacement sail. Can anyone show me a picture of their Maxiroach sail?

I've no idea who Maxiroach are but they don't seem to exist anymore, and I'm having Jeckells make up my sail, and would like a bit of positive roach using small vertical battens. I only lose 1.4m2 by having the furling sail, adding a roach would help claw some of that back where it's most useful.

Easyreef and Maxiroach were the same person. When sales of the reefing system fell off a cliff he sold battened mainsails for a few years before other sailmakers developed their own systems of battens. Nothing particularly special about the sails - they were fully battened and as name implies had roach.

Many different ideas on how best to cut furling mainsails, some contradictory so think it is a case of talking to those who offer such things and make up your own mind.

Thanks. The battens must have been super thin There's not masses of space inside the easyreef cavity. Did he have a different spec reefing system for battened sails or did he just sell a basic one size fits all?

Not sure. Must be 10 years or more since I saw one and he was selling to a general market rather than just Easyreef but don't recall if there was a choice of battens.
