Nice Mike. In January I will have a very similar launch for sale. You probably know her as she has been seen at many Trad Shows. She is called SEAMUS; at present in my boat house. She has a new engine and with a splendid new engine cover almost ready for fitting. I will be disposing of her really cheap.

Trad boat

Hi Byron.
Don't remember the name "Seamus". Has it always been that?
Looked on the Trad Rally gallery and no sign.
Was it the double ender I saw in your boathouse earlier this year?
Love to see a photo. There is a challenge. With you being all techy it should be no problem.
Are you going to use Ebay again?

Why on earth would you want to do that ?

She is being acquired by me and I don't want or need her. I would sooner she went cheap to someone who will love and care for her. You have probably seen her when she lived in my Cut. About 29' long and typical Royal Navy Cutter type.

She's a 29' ex-naval Cutter double ender. She was kept in the Cut but is now in my Boathouse as she has been rubbed down ready for Varnishing. Sorry! I don't have photos but anyone is welcome to see her.

The position is I have owned her since September but the owner wants her back. I have given him until January to raise the £5,000 involved. Personally I don't think he is going to manage it. The boat is worth £9,000 - £10,000 I only want my money back. So someone is going to get a bargain.

I've been searching my photos as I'm sure I have one somewhere, of part of it if not all.

I used to see it at Goring & Streatley regatta and have also seen it down in Henley.
It does look really smart.

(If it's the mid blue coloured one) she was a naval whaler (I think carvel rather than clinker) & the guy rebuilt her in Trevor Greens shed at Hurley in the mid to late 90's. I thought he did a pretty thorough job on her.

YUP! That's the one. He's now done it all again right up to pre-varnish stage and last year had a new Diesel put in her. Also a gorgeous new engine cover/box which is at present just sitting in my workshop.

Nearer the date I will take what photos I can of her in the Boathouse and then whack her on appropriate websites. I really would like to see her going to a loving home because she is a lovely boat.
