Having to reset the clock and set it to auto freq change finally upset me enough to be fitting an ebay ics600 on the new boat

Oh well, in view of a short time constraint to take the NAVTEX to southern France soon, I found an Easy NASA, new for £229. I hope it doesn't create too much havoc. Looks like the NASA is around half the price of an ICS 6. Maybe I will save up pennies for the better set later on. I am aiming to get an SSB rig and some other toys, so I am hoping the NASA will behave itself. Thanks for the reply.

As for SSB, I've had surprisingly good results with an android tablet sitting next to a degen 1103 reciever for weatherfax, the radio doesn't cost much and a tablet or laptop will decode the images for you.
