Hi - Does anyone have any opinions on Eastlands Marina ?
Thinking of relocating further up the Hamble.

For me, the position is great, away from the main Hamble hustle and bustle. A27 bridge height only really a problem with a flybridge. Clearly the marina is quite close to the M27. Have no idea of the noise levels.
 
Thank You for the replies so far - Id be looking at a berth further away from the Bridge - the noise is not really a game changer.
is / has there been an issue with the electrics ie Rapid anodes been eaten away too quickly ??

Obviously it gets quieter as you move away from the bridge. There are loads of boats up there so you’d not be alone! And the upper Hamble is very peaceful, good to explore in a dinghy.

Not heard of that issue with anodic erosion specifically but I’m not berthed there. Ensure you have good protection and a galvanic isolator.

I had very rapid anode erosion when we were berthed temporarily at The Cabin. I attributed this to the railway bridge. Nowhere near Eastlands.
 
Can't comment on Eastland's, but Foulkes Riverside yard is first class, but prices have recently increased 15%, but still just over half comparable prices below the A27 bridge. The tide rarely affects boat use, just need to make sure you are confident at driving in a fast tideway. Not much space as the yard is very popular for the cost conscious. I do know a Grand Banks there is for sale, and a purchaser could secure the mooring it sits on. Actually not having on site bar / restaurant facilities does keep a lot of idiots away.
 
We have been at Eastlands for a while. It is a yard with a Marina so more basic facilities but much cheaper too. The bridge is a limit but this depend on air height and we get good at working this out! Very friendly boat owners who keep an eye on each others boats. I have had no anode issues. It is affected by road noise but you get used to that too.

In truth we can’t afford the fees below the A27.
 
We were at Eastlands for 6 years and we only moved because we bought a flybridge as a liveaboard and you couldnt do that there. Not really a problem with motorway noise.....even had a lad dive of the motorway bridge....really good effort actually.....gave him a 7.
The river runs pretty fast through the berths and with a breeze it can be a challenge to berth in the intended spot but we mastered it after a while.
Only real issue was the summertime swimmers coming over from the opposite bank and climbing onto the pontoon and occasionally a boat to dive from, but it wasnt often..
