What is this place like as a marina? It's cheap for the Hamble but I guess that's due to the length you have to travel to get there, also the bridges. But, how much of a ball ache is it with the bridges?
I'm looking at different mooring options as going 8cm over 10m send my mooring into another stratosphere ..

We spent 20 years just down river at RK marina, the travel up and down to the Solent was in our opinion fine, good for the engines to warm up properly, and coming back gave the crew chance to tidy up and pack ready for the drive home. The bridge was rarely an issue if you time it right (We had an S43 with hardtop)
Only left as moved over to East Cowes as now living on the Island .

We are at deacons. They May quote you based on 10m. Really nice marina and the right side of the bridge. (The bridge air draft can be pretty low on high tides so depending on your boat you may need to consider travel times). We don’t
Often see many coming through the bridge on high slack springs. Not sure what the noise is like either ie trains/cars.

Also to add we love the river trip as like others have put the 20 mins up the hamble is a good time to warm engines and prep on the way back, the trip is very relaxing.
We are going to take a look at Deacons this afternoon. There sure is a steep drop in price as you get further down the river, except premier.

If I recall, recent change of ownership. My pal keeps an Aqua star there. Main issue for the elderly is the long walk from the car park along a meandering pontoon walkway. Big plus is the dinghy ride up river from Eastlands or even the paddle boarding for the more adventurous. Navigator pub opposite Swanwick is ok and a very short drive away. M27 access also close. Lots of positives.

We were at Deacons for several years. Paid about £7k pa for a 12m boat. Would have been about £5k above the A27 bridge. Access from the road was important to us, with a 2 hour drive from home. Deacons was the easiest. Lovely folk there. Surging current at times made mooring challenging, so had to note the conditions.
