Any predictions for the general weather situation, starting from Thursday going through to Tuesday? From all my bookmarked sites it would appear to be quite mixed but not horrific . i.e. massive low storming through.

Am thinking of N Wales specifically although realise most bods here sail on south coast.

No, but I need good weather

Well, apparently I'm doing Hamble to Lymington and back on Friday. Anybody want their brave and foolhardy picture taken?

Plans are dependent on the weather! Should be going down Thursday sometime with the bratpack and coming back Tuesday, not going to sit around on theboat if it is constantly chucking it down. No specific plans to go anywhere, will probably see how it blows and go accordingly (listening on 16 of course!).

Abersoch/Pwllheli Weather

Hi,

I don't know about you but I find that most of the forecasts for Abersoch/Pwllheli are rubbish. Have been going there for over 20 yrs now (most of my life) and it is only really right about one time in 5 - well, unless the whole country is enveloped and a mssive high or low, in which case they are usually 100%!

Easter is a fun time for guessing, as we have some of the year's most changeable weather - whatever it is, have a fun weekend. I will (but will involve my usual ritual of washing the boat, then washing it some more, and then maybe some more again!)

Ben

ps If you do want to look, have you tried the met office's website - they have Porthmadog as one of their featured towns in Wales at the moment, and you can see 5 days ahead - it's not a full on nautical forecast, but it is sometimes a good guide.

Re: Abersoch/Pwllheli Weather

On the whole the micro-climate of the Llyn peninsula works to our advantage, here's hoping for this week-end. Like you will be doing lots of cleaning etc but am also taking a half set of golf clubs just in case, if you fancy a knock give us a shout on 10b6.

Cheers

David

Re: Abersoch/Pwllheli Weather

Hmmm...me and Golf....not the best fo friends. I must have the most travelled, but least used set of golf clubs in the land - I seem to take them everywhere, but only get around to using the damn things about 4 times a year!

I am forever finding an excuse to do 'something else' whenever someone suggests golf. However, with a golfing addict mother and father (and increasingly golf loving mates) I think that I may have to succumb over the 4 day break....not sure even I can justify cleaning the boat for four days!
