Easter Bank Holiday - So what are your plans??

I have to admit I haven't been laying any attention to the weather in the UK for Easter. I have been focused on the Coté d'Azur. Hope you have a good break. 3 glasses of cooling refreshment with bubbles in it down.

Funny enough I haven't been looking what sof weather is like.... ! I'm certain it will be warmer and dryer than we get. Enjoy!

Looking fair from Saturday so we will enjoy the Fal, take the tender to the Pandora for lunch, overnight on the pontoons down from Trelisik and then pop to St Mawes for a good long walk and picnic on Sunday.

We won't be getting a tan anytime soon but the journey time from work to the pontoons is around 12 minutes so I can put up with that :)

On Sunday we might be going for our 1st proper trip out, other than pootling around between Lymington and Yarmouth. A mate with a Crabber at Chichester has suggested possibly meeting in Cowes.

We berth at Lymington, anything special we need to consider, avoid, definitely do or not do if we are going from Lymington to Cowes and back ? Tides look good for that trip to me and the weather is looking a bit more hopeful.

Thanks,

Andy

Filling up bunkers at 5pm today, then a gentle trundle down to Bembridge. Forecast looks ok for tonight, after that I don't care, we've got a new cockpit canopy and 10 days to do nothing.

Nice run for a 1st trip. Nothing special to consider - just remember the colregs amd that Cowes can get busy. Much more sheltered in Cowes with the new breakwater built so choice of destination less of an issue but likely to be some north in the wind so places south of the floating bridge will be more sheltered than shepherds or yacht haven.

I'm also planning to be in Cowes for Sunday evening, to collect an additional crew member who is taking part in the RORC Easter Challenge from Friday - Sunday. So, I'll be out in the Solent on both Sunday and Monday. Need to tick off the list of recommissioning jobs tomorrow and Saturday. Barring any unforeseen hitches, this is eminently doable.

The newly formed independant Bavaria mobo club (me and my mate with a 31 sport) are heading for Island Harbour saturday lunchtime, then on to Lymington Yacht Haven Sunday, back home on monday.
2nd overnighter of the year, we are doing well for April (must be the change from sportsboat to flybridge) :)
