Easter Bank Holiday - So what are your plans??

Sorry all, but need to move Riossa from Northney to Woolverstone, so odds on force 6+ easterlies all weekend. If however, the weather gods by some strange co-incidence are in a good mood, then some proper cruising round the corner to muddy creeks, and hopefully a slight respite from the overcrowded and expensive Solent. We will see.....

Wind and weather fair Weymouth. Wind fair but weather pants - Solent somewhere for some of the week. Wind pants, regardless of weather Hamble (gardening !!!) or back to work.

I'm not quite ready to go back in the water, was hoping to relaunch next week but it's now looking like the week after. Nearly there though, it's been a long haul. So I will inevitably be doing more 'doing' on the boat, on the hard...

We will be cruising from Lincoln to Boston and then heading across the Wash to Kings Lynn for a couple of nights before heading back up to Lincoln again.

+1 Us too!
Departing Farndon Good Friday morning, expect to be in Boston Saturday evening or sometime Sunday and will head to K-L on Monday if conditions are favourable.
We're booked in at Kings Lynn but they've asked us to pay in full up front, (non refundable) which we thought was a bit unreasonable (and unrealistic) to say the least.
We have informed them that due to the nature of the trip, everything is weather dependent so we're prepared to pay a deposit but no more.
Currently awaiting a response.
Have they asked you to pay up front too?

We have paid upfront but if we dont make it for whatever reason we will transfer our days to later in the year when we head up to Ely and beyond in July.

We will be there on Saturday and Sunday evenings and heading back on the Monday morning tide so our paths should cross somewhere along the line.

Could be quite busy on the pontoons that weekend, a few of our 'sticky' boats are looking to head over from Gib. Point for the weekend. We've mentioned their payment system doesn't match reality, so we usually just give them a call on the way over and pay on arrival. So far we've always had space, especially as we head up the river over LW.

I would give them a ring. As far as we are aware they are now fully booked.

They are turning people away!

Loch Lomond

Heading down to Loch Lomond on Thursday night. Staying for 4 nights. Planning the first cruise of the season. Kids fancy a overnight anchored near some of the islands. So we may do that. Looking forward to some nice "summer" weather!

Currently sitting in the BA F lounge having a glass of something cold with bubbles and the forecast for SofF is 16 sunny and 10kts for the next 6 days. Enjoy UK boating!
